1. Keep the right temperature

Temperature plays the most important role when storing wine since too warm or too cold conditions can decrease the quality of wine or even make it go bad. While it does depend on the type of wine, in general ideal temperature should be around 13°C. The temperature should remain stable, also so the cork doesn’t change shape. The temperature should never drop below -4°C, which is the point at which it can freeze, or go over 20°C which accelerates the aging or destroys certain compounds.
