Perfect summer party food: DIY tacos
24.05.2024
Fun and creative dish that everybody will like
When hosting a party there is always one problem – there is no food every guest will love. But we have found a solution - tacos! Fun and easy to personalize dish that allows everybody to create them the way they like it. This doesn’t mean you have to prepare infinite number of toppings – just a few is enough to get everybody’s tastebuds satisfied. Here are a few we recommend and are perfect for meat lovers, sea food fans and vegans or everybody that loves vegetables. With only main three toppings that require cooking this is an easy way to please every taste, especially with Heat Shift – Hisense induction hob feature, that transitions cooking conditions across multiple zones while you shift the pots.
MAIN TOPPINGS
Meat topping: GROUND BEEF Heat oil over high heat in a large skillet, add chopped garlic buds and onion, and cook for approximately 2 minutes or until it turns golden. Add beef and break it up as you go on with cooking. Add salt and other spices you like (we recommend chilli powder, oregano, or taco seasonings). Add tomato sauce or paste and water. Bring it to simmer and cook until the sauce thickens. This makes a great topping for other dishes as well like different types of potatoes, pasta and even pizza. Therefore you can make a larger amount and use it the day after or freeze it for a fast meal. With Hisense hob you can cook comfortably even in larger pots and pans thanks to Flexible Zone feature, that vertically connects two zones, so they create one large cooking zone – super practical for larger amounts of food!
Sea food topping: FRIED SHRIMP
Get the crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside shrimps by patting them dry with paper towels and tossing them in spices until they are coated with them. We highly recommend using chilli powder, onion powder and garlic powder. Heat oil in a pan, add shrimps and sauté for 5-8 minutes while occasionally flipping them. Flash fried shrimps are great in tacos and Hisense hobs have Rapid Boil function that is perfect for that – it uses high temperatures to ensure flash frying, quick cooking, and searing steaks. After 5 minutes of cooking this mode also turns off automatically.
Vegan topping: MUSHROOMS
Wipe mushrooms clean with a damp kitchen towel (cleaning them in water can cause them to soak up the water) and remove the stems. Season them in spices or herbs. We highly recommend choosing soy sauce, garlic powder, rosemary or balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Heat olive oil in a pan and add mushrooms so that they lay flat and don’t cover each other. Cook them for approximately 5 minutes then stir, turn them around and leave for approximately 5 more minutes. To make it simpler Hisense hobs have a timer that enables you to set it and go on with preparing the toppings while the hob will automatically turn of after the set time.
SIMPLE EXTRA TOPPINGS:
- shredded Mexican cheese
- pickled or diced onion
- shredded lettuce or cabbage
- chopped tomatoes
- sliced jalapeños
- black beans
SALSAS
Pico de Gallo
Add some freshness to your tacos with this simple and beloved salsa. Simply dice up tomatoes and onions, chop cilantro and chillies and mix everything together with a pinch of salt and fresh lemon juice.
Guacamole
Smash avocado and season with salt, olive oil, freshly squeezed lime or lemon and add chopped onions.
SERVING
Once you are done turn off the stove and put toppings in separate bowls. If your guests are running late, you can keep the cooked toppings warm in a pan using residual heat. Otherwise, Residual Heat Indicators on Hisense hob will let you know, which zones are still radiating and should not be touched. Serve toppings with taco shells of your choice and let the guests have fun by filling them with all the delicious toppings in different combinations. Guarantee fun and delicious experience! Even though there is a small chance of any leftovers, you can easily store any of the topping and use it in your next meal.
